What If Your Next Level as a Healer Isn’t Another Modality?

When learning becomes remembering, and your own inner knowing becomes part of your greatest medicine

I have spent much of my life as a student.
I have sat with teachers, studied ancient traditions, practiced, questioned, explored, and begun again.

For more than 25 years, my path has taken me deeply into Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, meditation, nervous system healing, energy work, intuitive development, and spiritual healing. Along the way, I have accumulated more than 20,000 hours of clinical and teaching experience and had the privilege of sitting with people through some of the most vulnerable, transformative, and sacred moments of their lives.

I am deeply grateful for everything I have learned.
And yet, somewhere along the way, I discovered something I hadn't expected.

There comes a time when the greatest teacher is no longer outside of you.

The teachings begin to become embodied.
Your experience begins to speak.
Your intuition becomes quieter and clearer.
And you begin to recognize that some of what you have been searching for has been within you all along.

Perhaps you don't need another modality

I see this often with experienced healers, therapists, counselors, health coaches, yoga teachers, meditation teachers, spiritual facilitators, and other practitioners.

You have studied.
You have invested in yourself.
You have done your own healing.
You have gathered beautiful tools and learned how to support others.

And perhaps you still find yourself wondering:

What is next?

Sometimes the answer is another training.
But sometimes it isn't.
Sometimes there is a deeper invitation.

To trust what you already know.

You may sense something about a person before they have spoken it.
You may feel a subtle shift in someone's nervous system.
An image may arise.
A word may come.

You may suddenly see a connection between symptoms, emotions, experiences, and patterns that wasn't obvious before.

And then the mind arrives,
Am I imagining this?
Can I trust what I'm sensing?
What if I'm wrong?

I've been in this territory myself.
And I have learned that developing intuition isn't about becoming more mystical or trying to receive more information.

It is about becoming more discerning, more embodied, and more intimate with your own way of knowing.

The difference between knowing and thinking you know

This distinction has become incredibly important in my own work.
There is a difference between intuition and assumption.
Between perception and projection.
Between something arising naturally within you and the mind desperately wanting an answer.

True intuitive development requires discernment.
It requires learning to notice what happens in your own body when something is true for you.
It requires becoming familiar with your own patterns so that they don't unconsciously become confused with what you are perceiving from another person.
And it requires enough nervous system safety that you can remain present with what you are sensing without immediately needing to act on it.

This is where I believe the deeper mastery of healing begins.
Not in knowing everything.
But in being able to stay present with what you don't yet know while remaining open to what may reveal itself.

Sometimes the next level is Remembering

Over the years, I have come to believe that some of our greatest evolution as healers happens through remembering rather than acquiring.

Remembering the gifts we have always carried.
Remembering our own way of seeing.
Remembering how to listen.
Remembering that we don't have to work exactly like our teachers.
Remembering that our work doesn't have to fit perfectly inside someone else's system.

Your gifts may not look like mine.
And they shouldn't.
I don't want to create practitioners who work in my image.

I want to help experienced healers discover what is uniquely theirs.

That may mean developing greater confidence in your intuitive perception.
It may mean learning to recognize subtle information in the body and nervous system.
It may mean becoming more skilled at working with the deeper layers beneath what a client presents.
It may mean integrating the different modalities you've studied into something that feels authentically your own.

Or perhaps there is a gift within you that you haven't yet learned how to recognize.

A simple Practice for Reconnecting with your Own Knowing

I'd love to offer you something you can try before your next session.

Before you reach for your familiar framework or technique, pause.

Feel your feet.

Take 3 slow breaths.

Let your attention become spacious.

And silently ask: What am I noticing before I interpret?

Then wait.

Don't search for an answer.

Simply notice.

Perhaps there is a sensation in your body.

A word.
An image.
A feeling.
A change in your breathing.

Something subtle about the person sitting in front of you.
Or perhaps nothing comes at all.
That's perfectly okay.

Then ask yourself: What do I know, and what am I assuming?

And finally: What happens when I trust myself enough to stay curious?

You don't have to act on what arises.
You don't have to be right.
The practice is simply to become more intimate with your own way of knowing.

That intimacy can change the way you practice.

This is part of what Soul Renewal Healing means to me

Soul Renewal Healing is not simply another technique to add to an already-full toolbox. It is an approach that brings together the many layers I have spent decades exploring: the physical body, nervous system, emotions, energy, intuition, consciousness, and spiritual awareness.

In this work, we gently explore what may be beneath the obvious.
Sometimes there are patterns held beneath conscious awareness.
Sometimes the nervous system is still protecting something from long ago.
Sometimes a healer has extraordinary sensitivity but hasn't yet learned how to trust or work with it.
Sometimes the practitioner themselves is standing at the threshold of a new level of development.

Rather than forcing an answer, we create enough space for something deeper to reveal itself.
And when what has been hidden becomes visible, there can be a profound sense of: Oh. Now I see.

That is often where change becomes much easier.

The advanced work isn't always about learning more

When I speak about advanced healing skills, I don't necessarily mean adding more techniques.
The deeper work can be much more subtle.
It is becoming more precise in your perception.
More grounded in your presence.
More discerning with intuition.
More confident in what you sense.
More capable of recognizing what belongs to you and what belongs to the person you are working with.
More comfortable allowing the session to unfold rather than needing to control every step.
And ultimately, becoming more fully yourself in the healing space.

There is a beautiful freedom that comes when you no longer feel that you have to prove your expertise by knowing everything.

You can simply be present.
Listen.
Notice.
Discern.
Respond.
And trust that your years of study and experience are already part of you.

Perhaps you are becoming a different kind of healer

Maybe you've noticed that your work is changing.
Maybe your intuition has become stronger.
Maybe you are sensing things you didn't sense before.
Maybe you feel drawn toward working more deeply with the nervous system, emotions, energy, or consciousness.
Maybe you have done considerable healing yourself and are realizing that your personal evolution is changing the way you hold space for others.

Or perhaps you simply have a quiet feeling that there is more.
If so, I want to tell you something I have learned through my own journey:

You don't have to know exactly what the next level is before you begin moving toward it.

Sometimes the next step is simply becoming curious.
Sometimes it is having a conversation with someone who can see something in you that you haven't quite seen in yourself yet.
And sometimes it is giving yourself permission to explore the gifts that have been quietly waiting for your attention.

A conversation can be the beginning

This is why I love working with experienced practitioners through my private mentorship and Soul Renewal Healing. I bring my decades of clinical experience, Ayurvedic and yogic knowledge, nervous system understanding, intuitive development, energy work, and spiritual practice into a deeply personalized space.

There is no formula for who you are supposed to become.

We begin with you.
Where you are now.
What you are experiencing.
What is changing.
What you sense.
What you question.
What you are ready to develop.
And what perhaps wants to be remembered.

If you are a healer, therapist, counselor, health coach, yoga teacher, meditation teacher, spiritual coach, facilitator, or another practitioner who feels that your work is ready to deepen, I would love to hear from you.

You don't need to come with a polished question. You can simply tell me: Something in my work is changing, and I'm curious about what comes next.

We'll begin there.
No pressure.
No need to have the answer.
Just space to listen to what is emerging.
Because perhaps your next level isn't waiting in another certification, another book, or another modality.
Perhaps it is waiting in a deeper relationship with your own knowing.
And perhaps the healer you are becoming has been quietly there all along.

Waiting to be remembered 💜
