Ayurvedic Practice, Training & Professional Disclosure
Honoring the depth of my training
My work is grounded in extensive education, clinical training, personal practice, and professional experience in Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, meditation, breathwork, and holistic healing.
I am a NAMA Certified Ayurvedic Doctor-Level Practitioner and Certified Yoga Therapist. My formal Ayurvedic education included six years of comprehensive study and clinical training in traditional Ayurvedic medicine, including Kayachikitsa, the foundational branch of Ayurveda concerned with internal medicine and the holistic care of physical and psychological conditions.
My Ayurvedic education also included the traditional Ayurvedic approach to pediatric health, women's health, mental and emotional wellbeing, nutrition, herbal medicine, purification and cleansing therapies, lifestyle, daily and seasonal routines, and individualized therapeutic care.
Through my formal and ongoing education and personal practice in Yoga Therapy, breathwork, meditation, and contemplative traditions, I have also devoted many years to studying the relationship between the body, breath, mind, emotions, nervous system, consciousness, and overall wellbeing.
I draw upon this education and experience to offer individualized Ayurvedic assessment, education, therapeutic recommendations, Yoga Therapy, and complementary healing practices according to traditional Ayurvedic principles and within the scope of my training and applicable law.
Ayurvedic Assessment and Care
Ayurveda has its own traditional framework for recognizing an individual's constitution, patterns of imbalance, digestion, lifestyle, mental and emotional patterns, and overall state of wellbeing.
When I conduct an Ayurvedic assessment, I may use traditional Ayurvedic methods, including observation, questioning, pulse and tongue assessment, and other traditional approaches, to develop an individualized understanding of patterns within the person and to guide recommendations.
Depending upon the individual and the nature of the work, recommendations may include dietary and lifestyle practices, Ayurvedic herbs and formulations, daily and seasonal routines, cleansing and purification practices, therapeutic treatments, Yoga Therapy, breathwork, meditation, and other complementary practices.
These assessments and recommendations are based upon the traditional Ayurvedic system of health and healing. They are distinct from conventional medical diagnosis and are not intended to represent a conventional medical diagnosis or to replace appropriate medical evaluation or treatment.
Physical, Mental, and Emotional Wellbeing
My training includes extensive study of the ways Ayurveda and Yoga address the relationship between physical health, mental and emotional patterns, nervous-system regulation, breath, lifestyle, and consciousness.
My work may therefore support areas such as self-awareness, stress reduction, nervous-system regulation, emotional integration, embodiment, resilience, spiritual development, and a deeper connection with one's own inner wisdom.
My training in Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy does not constitute training or licensure as a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, or other conventional mental-health provider. I do not provide psychotherapy or conventional psychiatric diagnosis or treatment.
When an individual's needs call for care beyond my scope, I encourage appropriate collaboration with physicians, mental-health professionals, and other qualified healthcare providers.
A Complementary and Integrative Approach
I honor both the traditional wisdom of Ayurveda and the importance of appropriate contemporary healthcare.
My intention is to work with the whole person; the body, mind, emotions, breath, lifestyle, nervous system, relationships, and spiritual life, while respecting the distinct roles of other healthcare professionals.
Ayurvedic and Yoga Therapy practices may be used as complementary approaches alongside conventional healthcare when appropriate.
If you have a diagnosed or suspected medical or mental-health condition, are experiencing new or concerning symptoms, are pregnant or nursing, are taking prescription medication, or are receiving medical or psychological treatment, please discuss relevant Ayurvedic herbs, supplements, dietary changes, cleansing practices, or other recommendations with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
I do not recommend discontinuing, reducing, or changing prescribed medication or medically recommended treatment without consultation with the healthcare professional responsible for your care.
Spiritual, Intuitive, and Soul Renewal work
My work may also include Soul Renewal Healing, spiritual healing, energy work, meditation, intuitive practices, and contemplative exploration.
These practices are offered as complementary approaches to self-awareness, spiritual exploration, embodiment, personal growth, and wellbeing.
Intuitive or spiritual insights are offered as perspectives for reflection and discernment. They are not presented as medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional determinations.
You remain the ultimate authority over your own choices and decisions.

I bring extensive education, training, professional experience, and personal practice to my work, but I cannot promise or guarantee a particular health, healing, or personal outcome.
